The Junghans Meister Classic Automatic Watch is descended from the first Meister (Master) watches. Created by the company in the 1930’s, the collection had its heyday in the 1950’s and 60’s. Throughout this time numerous calibres were developed by Junghans. However, only the most sophisticated were fitted to the Meister watches. Consequently, the Meister watches of today are a homage to the design and technical achievements of the original Meister collection.

Case, Movement

Firstly, housed within a 38.4mm stainless steel case is a reliable J820.4 self-winding movement. Secondly, with a 42 hour power reserve, the movement can be easily viewed through a glass exhibition screwed caseback. Furthermore, the movement equips the watch with hour, minute and seconds functions. Additionally, a date display at 3 o’clock is also a useful addition.

Dial

The glass is a convex, hard plexiglass coated with Sicralan to enhance scratch resistance. Moreover, the dial is in a silver-plated white finish with applied indexes and printed hour markers. Additionally, the stainless steel hour and minute hands are coated with an environmentally friendly luminous substance. This ensures maximum legibility in poor light conditions. Finally, the Meister Classic is completed with a brown horse leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle.
