Seiko Presage Style 60’s Ivory Dial Watch

This handsome Seiko Presage Style 60’s Ivory Dial Watch is from the Presage Style 6o’s collection. The collection is inspired by the design of Japan’s first ever chronograph, originally created by Seiko in 1964 to coincide with an important sporting event in Tokyo. Consequently, watches in the collection are practical and modern with retro vintage 1960s looks.

Automatic Movement, Caseback

Equipped with an automatic 4R57 calibre, the watch has a power reserve of up to 41 hours. This is displayed on the power reserve indicator positioned from twelve o’clock to four o’clock. Also, it has the characteristic sub dial of the 4R57 calibre at six o’clock, displaying the seconds. It’s possible to manually wind the watch and you can feel the strong torque of the winding mechanism when you grip the crown.

Case, Ivory Dial

The 40.8mm circular case of the Seiko Presage Style 60’s Ivory Dial Watch is in stainless steel with a black fixed bezel. The dial is in ivory (view blue dial version here). Moreover, sepia-tone Lumibrite on the hands and hour markers adds to the vintage look with no compromise on practicality. Also, applied silver and black faceted hour indexes and a gauge-like minute track are another nod to the retro heritage of the piece. Finally, a three-link stainless steel bracelet completes the retro look and a folding clasp secures it to the wrist.
